Too long

I was shocked to see how long it has been since I have last posted. A lot has happened since Liam's 3rd birthday and my graduation. The boys are doing well. I was recently informed that "Me and Gavin are gonna be best friends," by Liam. I am constantly amazed at how much they are growing and changing. They are two little people with very different personalities.

I passed my Nurse Practitioner boards on July 11th!!! I am officially a CPNP and done with school forever. I accepted a job as a PNP in the emergency department at Children's Mercy which I will transition to the first week of August. I have three shifts remaining in the PICU. This transition will be challenging and scary. I am very sad to leave my "home". It was very hard to make the decision to leave a job that I love. I am very sad knowing that I will be giving up my comfort zone of the ICU and entering a world of unknowns and a department full of unfamiliar faces. I have made so many friends and I feel like I am starting all over again. The good news is that I am just a staircase away (Staircase 6 connects the ED to the PICU :)

I have failed to mention that in the midst of changes, we were fortunate enough to escape reality for a week and indulge in a 7 night stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point, CA. It was a picture perfect week with beautiful weather and lots of beach time with the boys. This will be its own post with many pictures.

I feel light-hearted knowing that school is behind me and I hope to have more free time to post on our blog. Hopefully I will get something up tomorrow. For now...off to bed. Good Nite!
